Pizza Port Brewing Company is looking for a qualified individual to join our brew team starting as a cellar worker and then training into an Assistant Brewer and eventually Production Brewer at our production facility in Carlsbad, CA, if not experienced. Below is a brief description of the 3 positions:
· Cellar Worker, Salary Range $18.50 to $19/hour- Responsible for waste water knowledge, cleaning brewing equipment, keeping the brewing area organized and clean, the cleaning, filling, handling, and moving of kegs, casks, spent grain, following safety rules, and assisting the production brewing team in various other tasks associated with the brewery
· Assistant Brewer, Salary Range $19.50 to $20.50 – Responsible for assisting in all phases of the brewing process including dry hopping/recirculating, brewery safety, quality control, and assisting the brewing team in various other tasks associated with the brewery.
· Brewer, Starts at $23/hour – Responsible for all phases of the brewing process/production, recipe collaboration, quality control, waste water, cellar work, sensory panel participation, brewery safety, and other tasks associated with the brewery. Must be willing to work in the rotating 3 brewing shifts (Morning, Evening, and Overnight – midnight to 6 am)

Required Experience and Education
· Experience in manufacturing environment and proper use of PPE preferred
· Experience with tools and manufacturing equipment
· Understanding of the brewing process preferred
· Forklift experience and certification preferred
· Brewing experience required for Assistant Brewer position

· Self-motivated and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
· Excellent troubleshooting skills and intermediate mechanical skills

Other Considerations
· Must be able to perform the physical aspects of the job: stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Will have to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; and use hands to grip hoses and turn valves, and team lift and/or move up to 160 pounds. Individual lifting requirement 45-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to use hand tools and other office/brewing equipment
· Will be working in hot and cold environments, working with/around hot substances, hazardous chemicals, and moving machinery.
· Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to provide appropriate documentation to show authorization to work in the United States (I-9).
