We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager to lead our onsite fire protection and life safety projects within the Superhero Fire and
Safety Industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the design and implementation of innovative fire safety solutions that protect communities and enhance safety standards. Essential Roles And Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of fire protection and life safety systems for onsite projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project teams to develop tailored fire safety solutions that meet project requirements and safety objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Manage and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify design implementation and adherence to safety standards.
- Stay current with industry advancements, codes, and regulations related to fire protection and life safety systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support staff.

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing fire protection and life safety systems, preferably within the onsite or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA 13, local codes).
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, Revit, or similar tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
Certifications and Licenses
- AutoCAD/design software training
- Valid NC Driver’s License required.
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level III or IV
- NICET Water-Based Systems Layout Level III or IV
