Job Summary:
As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages within a clinic setting. Your role will involve diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, promoting preventive care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the overall well-being of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic conditions, ranging from common illnesses to complex diseases.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Provide counseling and support for patients dealing with addiction or mental health issues.
- Perform procedures such as botulinum toxin treatments, dermabrasion, and other minor surgical interventions.
- Manage senior care patients with a focus on geriatric medicine and address their unique healthcare needs.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Active state medical license and DEA registration.
- Experience working in a clinic or teaching hospital environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in psychopharmacology for managing mental health conditions.
- Familiarity with infectious disease care protocols and treatment modalities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Prior experience in addiction counseling is a plus.
- Knowledge of senior care principles and practices.
