Overview
We need a highly organized Purchasing Admin/Assistant to play a crucial role in supporting purchasing activities in the commercial mechanical construction sector. This role is instrumental in ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and equipment, thereby assisting project teams in meeting critical deadlines. Your responsibilities will include supplier coordination, delivery tracking, and procurement documentation management, all of which contribute to the efficient operation of HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and fulfilling procurement needs for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Request quotes, secure competitive bids, and track deliveries to meet project schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and manage contracts, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Maintain an expediting log and follow up on delivery schedules.
- Monitor market trends to assist in cost-saving initiatives.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of procurement or administrative experience in mechanical construction or a related field.
- Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical materials.
- Proficiency with MS Project, Bluebeam, or Trimble AutoBid is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Local and stable work history preferred.

- Ability to assist in negotiating contracts and resolving procurement issues.
- Proactively building and maintaining solid relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable procurement processes.
