Job Title: Building Automation Controls Project Manager

Job Summary
We seek a skilled Building Automation Controls Project Manager to lead and manage projects involving advanced building automation systems. This role will oversee the implementation, integration, and optimization of building control systems, including HVAC, lighting, and energy management solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, industry-specific experience, and the ability to lead project teams to successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of building automation projects, from initiation through commissioning, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Implemented and managed control systems, including BACnet, DDC, and other leading protocols, while working with systems such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, and Johnson Controls Metasys.
- Coordinate between engineering teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align project objectives and optimize system performance.
- Utilize software like AutoCAD and Visio to design and document control system layouts, ensuring all designs meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support, conduct progress meetings, and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle to maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building automation controls project management, with a stable and local work history.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required. An EIT or PE license is preferred but optional.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio and experience with BACnet and DDC control systems. Familiarity with Tridium Niagara, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, Schneider Electric, and other industry-standard platforms.
- Experience with project management tools like MS Project, Bluebeam, and Trimble AutoBid is highly advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead project teams and interact effectively with clients, contractors, and engineers.
