Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide administrative support and help coordinate the various aspects of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and scheduling construction projects.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects stay on track.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Attend project meetings and take minutes.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather requirements.
- Assist with permit applications and ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the project team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction project management or related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Knowledge of construction processes and terminology is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (but not required).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
