Ready to join our team as a Senior Financial Analyst? Are you excited about providing top-notch accounting and finance collaboration to the InTech leadership and the Field Systems Marcom teams in support of Field Systems segment objectives?
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Controller/Director of Finance for the InTech business area, this position will be responsible for month-end close processes, sales forecasting support, variance analyses, sales order discount review and ad hoc projects as needed. In addition, this position will be responsible for supporting FP&A activities across multiple Field Systems businesses. This role involves headcount forecasting and analysis, as well as marcom (marketing communications) forecasting and analysis. The successful candidate will participate in regular update meetings, maintain forecasting files, and communicate updated expectations to business leaders.
- InTech Business Area Support:
- Provide general accounting, audit, and compliance support to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting, including strong working knowledge of journal entries, SOX controls and account reconciliations.
- Working closely with the business area controller and leadership team, assists in the forecasting and performance reporting process, including variance analysis and QBR support.
- Investigate variance and unusual items, working with business partners to drive corrective action and improve future forecasts.
- Support the weekly & monthly sales forecast process and review discount requests for accuracy prior to submitting them for approval.
- Marcom Forecasting and Analysis:
- Discuss with functional leaders the reasons for potential deviations from the forecast and update forecast spend accordingly.
- Communicate updated expectations and potential feasibility issues with each business's finance lead
- Ensure alignment between the business forecasts and the functional working budget
- Headcount Forecasting and Analysis:
- Participate in regular headcount and hiring update meetings between the businesses and the Talent Acquisition (TA) organization.
- Update and maintain the Field Systems headcount forecasting file with the latest hiring expectations and actuals.
- Communicate updated forecast expectations with Field Systems business leaders.
- Evaluate tracking against merit and promotions budget throughout the year and communicate findings to the businesses.
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (MBA a plus).
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in a larger technology-related business).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, including accounting for hardware and software.
- Proven business modeling and forecasting skills required, including modeling of revenue carve-outs and business expenses.
- Advanced to expert proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, look-ups, and an ability to quickly ascertain accurate inferences from large data sets.
- Advanced to expert proficiency in G-Suite office tools, specifically Google Sheets.
- Ability to analyze, consolidate, and automate the reporting of information from enterprise reporting systems.
- Oracle, RevPro, DOMO and Hyperion experience is a plus.
