Key Responsibilities
- Develop efficient, sustainable HVAC designs for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Oversee multiple projects, managing budgets, schedules, and resources while adhering to industry and regulatory standards.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering technical development and ensuring the delivery of exceptional results.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding HVAC engineering solutions, building long-term relationships, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide technical expertise during construction phases, reviewing submittals, resolving design conflicts, and coordinating with contractors and other disciplines.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a closely related field, and an active Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC design and project management experience, focusing on Southern California commercial and residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is highly desirable, as is familiarity with Navisworks, Bluebeam, Trimble AutoBid, and related industry tools.
- Experience in consulting or architectural engineering firms, deep understanding of local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and Title 24 compliance.
- Local and stable work history, showcasing reliability and a strong commitment to Southern California's mechanical construction industry.
