Role Description
This is a full-time position for an experienced Survey Party Chief. The Survey Party Chief should be capable of running a 1-man, 2-man or 3-man crew, including conducting boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking. The role requires competency operating survey equipment such as Trimble GPS, total stations and digital levels. Applicants must have excellent field notes keeping skills and organizational skills. Applicants must also have good people skills when dealing with on-site construction managers and job site superintendents. You will also coordinate directly with Geomatics management and engineering project managers and ensure survey accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience in Boundary Surveys, ALTA Surveyors, Topographic Surveys, Settlement Monitoring, and Construction Staking.
- Proficiency in operating Trimble Survey Controllers.
- Skilled in operating Trimble GPS equipment conducting static sessions and base network calibrations.
- Skilled in operating Trimble Total Station including IS Solution and grid scanning.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in survey measurements.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with project managers.
- Experience with modern survey software and fundamenral analog tools is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in land surveying are beneficial.
