As a Branch Finance Director, you will be the finance business partner to the management team and share responsibility for the successful realization of the branch’s growth and operational goals and strategy. The Finance Director collaborates with Branch and North America senior leadership teams to develop, execute and monitor strategic initiatives to drive profitable growth throughout the business. You are responsible for branch forecasting, budgeting and strategic analytics that guide critical decision making. You will be responsible for managing a local team that maintains an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and assure the accuracy of the Branch’s financial results. You will work directly with the home office and local management teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and support the Internal Audit department to maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) for the branch operations.
You will report directly to the Branch Manager and supervise the local accounting team while collaborating closely with North America Finance Directors, the North America VP of Finance and home office Finance and Accounting teams as we strive to streamline processes and provide strategic financial support. You will bring your dynamic experience as a Finance Business partner and people leader to drive accountability and development. This director-level role is pivotal in providing strategic financial insights, optimizing processes, and enhancing profitability.
What You’ll Be Doing
Forecasting, Budgeting, Reporting & Profitability Analysis: Develop budgets and forecasts in collaboration with branch leadership, analyzing trends and providing guidance to achieve financial targets. Conduct proactive, in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, identify areas for profitability improvement, and optimize processes. Work closely with the NA VP of Finance, Home Office, and branch finance teams to streamline budget, forecast, reporting, and business integration processes, creating alignment to minimize risk and drive efficiencies (25%)
Financial Statement Ownership: Oversee timely and accurate branch financial closing cycles including the preparation of financial statements, consolidations, analysis and reviews while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements. Monitor and control branch expenses and Capex initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement while maintaining quality standards. (25%)
Finance Business Partnering & Collaboration: Partner closely with branch leadership to understand operational challenges and goals, leveraging financial expertise to streamline processes and drive efficiencies. Act as a business partner, providing financial insights and guidance to support strategic decisions and optimize resource allocation. (20%)
Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and mentor the local finance team, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure high performance and professional growth. Provide targeted finance training to all functional areas to enhance strategic thinking and accountability around levers driving profitable growth. (10%)
Continuous Improvement: Work closely with the NA VP of Finance, Home Office, and branch finance teams to streamline budget, forecast, and business integration processes. Lead initiatives to implement best practices, identify and implement opportunities for automation, and enhance productivity while reducing costs. (10%)
Special Projects: Provide financial support for large projects and ad hoc analyses with implications to successfully realizing strategic goals, ensuring comprehensive and successful outcomes. Oversee a reimagined project ROI framework with comprehensive tools and analytics to enhance decision-making for investments and project prioritization (10%)
Desired Skills And Experience

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is required. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is beneficial.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering: Proven record of forecasting, budgeting and providing strategic decision making support for a division.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of costing methodologies, manufacturing KPIs, ERP system costing and finance modules, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and advanced financial analysis techniques. Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years supporting sales and operations preferred. Demonstrated experience in a senior financial role is highly desirable.
- Leadership & Management: Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide insights that drive business decisions. Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively. Must have the ability to influence business leaders outside of direct reporting structure
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and driving efficiencies.
- Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence, with a focus on implementing best practices and standardizing procedures.

Pay
$130,600 - $222,000 / year
