Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fire Extinguisher Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair fire extinguishers and other fire safety equipment. The technician will ensure compliance with fire safety codes and company standards, providing essential services to commercial, industrial, and residential clients.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, and service portable fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA (National
- Fire Protection Association) standards and local fire codes
- Refill and recharge fire extinguishers after use or inspection
- Perform hydrostatic testing and maintenance of fire extinguishers
- Install new fire extinguishers and ensure proper placement and labeling
- Maintain accurate service records and complete inspection reports
- Communicate clearly with customers about service findings and recommended actions
- Identify faulty equipment and recommend replacement or upgrades
- Keep up to date with industry regulations, standards, and safety practices
- Drive company service vehicle to customer locations (if required)

Education And Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Blazemaster, OSHA 10, and CPR/First Aid training must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Fire Extinguisher Technician License or Certification (varies by state/region)
- Knowledge of NFPA 10 and other relevant fire codes
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
