Summary
A Sales Representative calculates costs and profitability for inspections and Services, while maintaining current clients and contributing to the division's growth. Responsible for developing new client relationships. Data will be collected and analyzed according to a series of useful variables. Very comfortable with numbers and analytical data. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The goal is to provide the Service Manager with accurate information to help operations and Division growth.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Reviews potential clients' documents, such as previous inspection reports, and understands the scope of work for bidding/proposal purposes.
- Executes take-offs on all inspection devices, valving, and apparatus.
- Inputs take-offs into a computer spreadsheet.
- Obtains bids from subcontractors if required for any scopes we do not currently inspect.
- Prepares cost analysis on computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred in the inspection of items.
- Inform the immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer databases.
- Communicate with homeowners, clients, potential clients, property managers, and facility managers over the phone as well as by email.
- Emphasis on communication and sales.
- Develops and maintains information on properties within their portfolio and NFPA#25 and AHJ requirements.
- Attends departmental meetings as required, as well as sales meetings with the Service Manager.
- Must possess excellent collaboration skills, communication skills, ethical conduct, time management skills, and be very thorough.

Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Expectations
This job does require traveling. Should a personal vehicle be needed for company use during the workday, a mileage reimbursement expense form must be submitted.
