JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a qualified individual(s) to clean, inspect, maintain, and repair various pieces of heavy equipment and trucks. Fleet includes various small engine items, 1/2 ton pickup trucks, 1 ton pickup trucks, F550 crew trucks, dump trucks, heavy haul trucks/trailers, skid steers, backhoes, excavators, loaders, scrapers, motor graders, bulldozers, rollers, sweepers, asphalt grinders and various other heavy civil construction items. Most of the work will be performed indoors at the company shop but occasional outdoor work on oversized items and even in field repairs will be required.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Be able to identify issues, diagnose failures, and present solutions to your superior for various fleet items.
- Be able to manage your own time usefully and adjust priorities on the fly
- Commercial license with haz-mat endorsement is a bonus but not required
- Light welding and metal working abilities
- Identify safety hazards in various conditions and eliminate potential hazards to complete tasks.
- Working knowledge of various pieces of heavy equipment and on road fleet vehicles
- Communicate with various parts vendors and technical service resources
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
