(Lead Architectural Designer)
Position Summary:
We are “Golden State Design & Engineering” (GSDE) a small developing full service residential Design & Engineering firm looking to on-board a highly motivated, experienced Architectural Designer/Architect to become a part of our team and ultimately take a leading role in Architectural Design department as we continue to develop our growing firm.

Completing a total of (100+) various residential new construction and alteration project. With our experienced and fine-tuned dynamic teamwork we look to further develop our team, our reach into the industry, our relationships, and to continue providing our clients with industry leading design & engineering services within the residential sector. Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete architectural design plan set for permitting of residential light frame construction project in accordance with jurisdictional requirements (conceptual design & construction documentation).
- Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously, overseeing all phases from initial design through construction administration to project completion.
- Engage with clients to understand their vision, provide expert guidance, and ensure satisfaction throughout the design and construction process.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
- Provide typical and specific drafting details to describe building system.
- Analyze project hazards and provide detailed, cost-effective solutions.
- Innovate and improve current design system/procedures.
- Training and develop architectural design team for future succession and expansion.
- Approve, review and seal architectural documents.
- Primary roll will be to coordinate and complete our residential project: Programming, Conceptual Schematic design, Design Development, Architectural Construction Documentation phases for project completion.
Preferred Qualifications/Requirements: (Age 18+ w/ access to automotive transportation)
- Min. General College degree (or technical training completion)
- Effective soft skills (written/verbal)
- Proficient in English Language
- Effective teamwork and team building abilities
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of current building design codes and applications
- Analytical/Strategic thinking abilities
- High attention to detail
- Ability to create practical, creative design custom luxury Residential designs
- Ability to Pioneer in a developing business environment
Pay:
- Hourly Pay ($18 to $35/hr)
Schedule:
- Full Time Position: 8hr Shifts /40hr’s a week
- Monday-Friday (5:00am-2:00pm) PST Time Zone (or other)
- (2) 10-15min breaks included
- 30min lunch break
Experience:
- 2-4 years of Architectural design experience (preferably residential sector in USA)
- 2-4 Year Autodesk Revit Experience
- Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Product, Google Products
- Google Gmail
- Familiar with USA Building codes or ability to learn code quickly. (Preferred Previous experience with USA Building Codes and methods)
