Litigation Paralegal experienced in commercial, real estate and personal injury litigation. Assist Deputy General Counsel and Legal department by investigating facts, preparing legal documents, or researching legal precedent. Conduct research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate defense, or to initiate legal action.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
- Conduct preliminary intake interviews by gathering relevant facts and identifying legal issues.
- Maintain the litigation hold system.
- Work with all in house litigation attorneys on compliance with litigation hold process.
- Prepare documentation for litigation holds and release of holds.
- General administrative duties relating to litigation matters.
- Support various ongoing or special legal projects.
- Assist with administrative functions as needed, including proof reading drafts of documents, obtaining execution signature on final documents.
- Provide copies of fully executed documents when necessary to outside counsel and/or internal functional areas and saving fully executed documents in the on the Company’s shared drive or programs.
- Position requires reliable, consistent and punctual attendance in office.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of Paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Paralegal or legal assistant Associate Degree and/or Florida paralegal certification preferred.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Paralegal to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
- Impeccable organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills, as well as attention to detail.
- Self-starter, ability to independently resolve inquires and issues with skill and sound judgment.
- Ability to maintain poise in a fast-paced environment and ability to work well under stressful situations.
- Must be able to demonstrate discretion in handling highly confidential information.
- Knowledge of legal document preparation is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent command of the English language; written and verbal.
- Follow directions from a supervisor.
