As a small company, non union work force, our team is practiced in the crafts of laborer duties, rebar installation, and formwork carpentry. Although this position is a full time position, the Heavy Equipment Operator responsibility is part time and also performs the laborer, rebar, and formwork means and methods.
It is required the Heavy Equipment Operator has experience in operating excavators, mini excavators and skid steer loaders. Fincon will train for the laborer, rebar, and carpentry crafts.
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment to the optimal performance.

This is a full-time position that operates at the construction job site in various locations that is weather dependent. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to rough, uneven terrain, hillsides, moving on and off-heavy equipment, high, precarious installation locations, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions including high heat and wet conditions creating risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. The Heavy Equipment Operator is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Experience operating excavators, mini excavators, skid steer loaders and other construction equipment.
- Lift and carry without assistance up to 80 pounds.
- Lift and carry awkward objects such as 20’ lumber, 8’ x 4’ plywood, 20’ rebar
- Climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders
- Step over 6” to 3’ structures
- Step over open trenches while carrying objects
- Repetitive motion to tie rebar while bent over for long periods of time
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as required
- Strong mental acuity for hazard awareness and response
- Focus and sharp attention span for meetings and trainings
- Manual dexterity to handle and feel objects, tools, or controls
- Long periods of talking and hearing
