The Business Analyst - SAP Sales & Distribution will be responsible for working with business process owners and Subject Matter Experts to understand business processes within the area of Sales, Logistics, Warehouse Management and Shipping, including Variant Configuration and EDI.
He/she will be responsible for translating business process design to the technical design and system configuration of Simpson’s SAP ERP system.
He/she will responsible for documentation of processes and configuration, SAP system configuration, unit testing, integration testing, leading User Acceptance testing activities with Business Stakeholders, and ensuring that proper IT Change Control and Project Management processes are adhered to.
He/she will be involved in the implementation of the SAP ERP system, as well as the on-going maintenance and enhancement to the SAP system in the area of Sales and Distribution and Variant Configuration.
He/she will also be responsible for managing a queue of support requests, as well as potentially working with offshore teams to support the ERP system.
This position requires excellent business process design experience; understanding of business objectives and value management, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage relationships with business partners, IT, senior management and vendor organizations. This position is reporting to the IT-Manager, Sales Systems
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Manages projects of small size and scope with minimal direction including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost. Delivers portfolio of approved IT projects/deliverable on time, on budget, with expected quality and value generation. Translate user’s requests into application system solutions. Analyzes system user requirements to define and design system configuration, enhancements, and modifications. Resolves business issues by working with various groups within and outside of the company (ie. system users, company management, consultants, and software support staff) Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and related application systems. Designs test plans, executes test scenarios, validates test data, and documents test results. Coordinates end-user training documentation and trains end users as required (60%).
Develops technical standards, best practice guidelines, solution diagrams, and documentation standards for all ERP and related solutions. Ensures that standards are adhered to, and that documentation and change control processes are followed across the Applications Organization (15%).
Works with partners and vendor organizations and provides oversight on all technical deliverables. Ensures that we have consistency across all our processes and enhancement work. Ensures that work provided by partners meets Simpsons internal standards, and is ultimately accountable for the solutions delivered (15%).
Participates and provides input to overall IT Systems and Applications Strategy for IT, and drives the overall realization of value for IT Initiatives. Will be jointly responsible for Data Governance initiatives and will help to make sure that Data Governance goals are met (10%).
Desired Skills And Experience

- Must have SAP Implementation experience with hands-on configuration experience in the SD, Pricing and Variant Configuration Module.
- Must have experience in SAP Order to Cash and Shipping Processes including Variant Configuration and Cross functional knowledge of FI, SD, PP, WM module
- Responsibility for designing custom solutions within the S/4 Hana landscape as well as solutions involving integrations with external systems.
- Global manufacturing company experience preferable.
- Responsibility for translating business requirements into an SAP solution design.
- Full Life Cycle large project implementation.
- Enterprise-level project implementation experience specifically with SAP ERP implementations
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work with multiple groups and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
- Must show demonstrated success working with business partners to evaluate, recommend, and implement highly-available, secure, mission-critical applications and demonstrated experience managing projects within a defined SDLC process.
- SAP Configuration and/or Development experience across multiple modules of SAP. With an emphasis on SD, Pricing and VC modules.
- Knowledge of SAP Landscape architecture design, project implementation methodologies and implementation expertise.
- SAP Hana S4 2020 platform experience (preferred) and domestic and international implementation experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP Ecosystem solutions and partners and the ability to lead selection processes
- Must be self-starter who demonstrates creativity in solving problems or generating improvement ideas, Able to prioritize competing or conflicting requests and also must exhibit strong communication skills.
- Supports and maintains positive attitude and vision with peers, associates, team members and management This position reports to the IT-Manager, Sales Systems and regularly interacts with clients (business partners, third party vendors) and industry professional colleagues.

Pay
$93,400 - $158,800 / year
