Job Overview
This person serving in this role is required to provide detailed project estimating and assist in overseeing construction projects.
You will assist our sales staff and project coordinators with providing both maintenance and construction project pricing to our prospective clients.
You will also be responsible for assisting with inventory, supplies and order building materials as, and when, needed to make sure that the project is not held up due to supply deliveries.
You will be conducting regular inspections and implementing site safety practices to avoid any hazards and accidents. You will be coordinating with the company’s Security Officers in enforcing site safety rules and regulations. You should also be familiar with using emergency equipment like fire extinguishers and set protocols for handling any uncertainties.
You will be assisting the Account Managers with their Maintenance Client portfolio in addition to managing your own accounts.
Pay Range $55K-$65K with benifits
Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective clients and assist with generating new sales
- Provide maintenance & construction project pricing to our coordinators or directly to clients
- Occasionally overseeing the progress of all construction activities on a project
- Ensuring all on-site workers adhere to the health and safety regulations
- Implementing industry best practices and safety protocols
- Evaluating the performance of the on-site workers
- Regularly checking inventory and placing orders for building materials
- Ensuring all equipment are in working order and good condition
- Interpreting building plans and construction blueprints
- Conducting site inspections to ensure they are free from any safety hazards
- Handling any on-site accidents with uttermost care and following company protocols
- Maintaining an accurate attendance report of all construction site workers
- Reviewing daily construction work and suggesting any improvement measures
- Ensuring all emergency equipment are in place and in working order
- Ensuring project completion as per the set timeline and budget
- Communicating the progress report to the Construction Project Manager and maintain a daily project journal
- Attending and/or facilitating any on-site meetings or events
- Maintaining project documentation and GL
- Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry. Commercial is preferred.
- OSHA 30 certificate within 90 days of hire.
- Basic knowledge of first aid practices
- Familiarity with construction tools and equipment
- Knowledge of health and safety standards

- Ability to maintain a normal work schedule: M/F typically 7am – 4pm (9hrs) on site
- Ability to work nights and weekends if necessary
- Ability to work with Client representation, architects and engineers if necessary.
- Ability to stay focused daily
- Understanding of AIA documents, Pay Applications, General Estimating software and Procore or a like management software.
- Strong ability to do take-offs, as well as price and source materials
- Strong ability to solicit bids from sub-contractors
- Answer phones and take messages as necessary
- Making calls and communicating with new prospective clients
