Primary Function:
The VDC/BIM Process Specialist I is a position in construction technology working within the Ops Tech team aimed at efficiency in project delivery in Detailing, coordination, and prefabrication.
As a member of the VDC Team, you will drive high value innovations and quality workflow improvements within a diverse team environment in three key areas:
· Detailing Trade Department Staff as a Specialized Technology Support Person
· Specialized Project Deliverable responsibility including but not limited to 3D Scan and Mesh
processing, Revit Model setup, Precon and Operations Reports and other Project deliverables.
· Revit and Fabrication Software Setup and Data Entry, Organization and Management
· Assist Detailing Team Engagement in learning through written, web, and video media creation.
· Evaluate and Implement New Technology-Driven Processes within company Operations
including Detailing, Engineering, Preconstruction, and Operations/ Construction.
Typical Duties:
In Specialized Project Deliverables, you will help perform general BIM Model and model setup
responsibilities for Mechanical Construction Projects, VDC process and file management and content creation.
Your work in data setup for software, database and processes will contribute to our goal of
developing the next generation tools and processes for VDC. And you will help create media (written, web/ html, video) in content bursts which engage our internal Detailers, Designers, BIM technicians and Field & Shop Personnel in growth and learning about new processes.
Experience desired in the following:
· Microsoft Excel
· Other Microsoft office products.
· Web/ HTML/ Photoshop or other imaging or video tools
· Engaging Writing / Video Content from any form of marketing, creative or Social Media
experience
· Revit
VDC Responsibilities:
· Assist in Projects to Clean and Modify the Fabrication CADmep Database for Revit, build content,
families and data sets for BIM, Project Data, Fabrication Processing Data and Estimating Data
· Create, Edit and upload media to the CADLearning and VDC Procedures websites.
· Follow a schedule for release of content, release of new training materials, or prebuilt training
specified for focus on a schedule, and send notices to team members.
Specialized Technology Support Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support the project team with model management /coordination processes aligned with BIM
execution plans.
· Inform Detailing Managers and Ops Tech Team leads of project or other delivery issues
· Support Detailing Team specialized IT Needs, including Computer setup and support issue
tickets
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience:
· Demonstrate ability to learn and communicate quickly, with some technical training or post high
school education.
· Demonstrate ability to type and process information quickly, and specific skill in Microsoft Excel
· Interest in writing/ video, training, marketing, or other forms of engagement.
· Must be able to work in a highly technical and fast-paced environment
· Ability to communicate well and work well with others in a group setting.
Salary Range:
$70,000-$100,000 per year based on experience (FSLA Non-Exempt)
