Cacy Electric is hiring a Chief Electrical Estimator.
Salary range: $150,000 to $175,000 per year, depending on experience.
Must-have experience:
Military/federal electrical estimating experience
Design-build electrical estimating experience
These are required for this role.
Cacy Electric is a non-union electrical contractor based in San Diego. A large part of our work includes federal/military, public works, state, design-build, and private commercial electrical projects.
This is a leadership role for someone who can take ownership of the estimating and preconstruction process, lead bid strategy, manage risk, review design-build assumptions, coordinate with design teams, and help us win the right work at the right margins.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the estimating department and full bid process
Reviewing plans, specifications, addenda, federal requirements, bridging documents, and design-build scope
Preparing and overseeing complete electrical estimates, including labor, material, equipment, vendor quotes, subcontractors, clarifications, exclusions, and bid forms
Leading bid reviews, final closeouts, go/no-go discussions, and project turnover
Identifying scope gaps, constructability issues, design conflicts, long-lead equipment, and project risk before bid day
Supporting project managers and field leadership after award
Improving estimating systems, templates, historical cost tracking, and department standards
Additional preferred experience:
NAVFAC, USACE, military base work, federal specifications, design-assist, or similar public/federal project experience
Strong electrical estimating background
Ability to lead bid strategy and manage multiple deadlines
Strong understanding of labor units, production, vendor quote review, subcontractor scope, and project risk
Experience with Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, Trimble, Bluebeam, Excel, Procore, or similar platforms
This is not a generic estimating position. We are looking for someone who understands federal/military work, design-build risk, and the responsibility that comes with owning the number.
If you are interested, please send your resume and a brief summary of your military/federal and design-build estimating experience.
