Join our team as a Senior MEP Estimator and embark on a dynamic journey in the realm of construction cost estimation. Reporting to the PMO Program Controls Manager and Lead Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our projects. From analyzing drawings and specifications to conducting site visits and material takeoffs, you'll craft comprehensive cost estimates for MEP systems, ensuring accuracy, uniformity, and completeness throughout the process. Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and architects, you'll identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures to optimize project outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of recent professional experience in preparing complete cost estimates for building construction, with 5-7 years specializing in MEP estimating
- BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted for education
- Expertise in theories, principles, and practices of cost estimating and contract pricing
- Proficiency in Design Build, Design Bid Build, and Job Order Contracting forms of contracting
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, local labor, and material costs
- Extensive experience in developing and estimating change orders
- Familiarity with Prevailing Wage/Union Labor rates, NECA, MCAA labor productivity, and tools such as RS Means, Accubid, Trimble MEP, or Bluebeam Revu
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
