Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role located in San Diego, CA. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams, running conduit and wiring, installing panels, switches, outlets, and lighting, and performing routine inspections. The role also involves diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting system faults, testing components, and documenting work performed. The Electrician will collaborate with project managers, other trades, and clients to ensure timely completion of work and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principles, with the ability to apply this understanding safely and effectively on job sites.
- Hands-on experience with electrical work, including installation of wiring, fixtures, panels, and related components in residential and/or commercial settings.
- Skills in maintenance & repair of electrical systems and equipment, including performing routine checks and preventive maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing reliable solutions in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with basic electrical engineering concepts as they relate to practical field applications.
- Valid electrician license or certification in California, or eligibility to obtain one as required by state regulations.
- Knowledge of OSHA and local electrical codes, and commitment to strict safety and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Reliable transportation to the San Diego, CA job site and ability to work full-time, including occasional overtime as needed.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, and maintain professional interactions with clients.
