Lead Scheduler
Simpson & Simpson Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Scheduler V / Lead Scheduler to support a major public-sector capital improvement program in the Los Angeles area.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an accomplished scheduling professional with extensive experience supporting large, complex capital construction programs and multiple concurrent projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee program and project scheduling activities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze complex Primavera P6 schedules
- Review contractor baseline schedules, updates, and recovery schedules
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) and schedule variance analyses
- Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and schedule forensic reviews
- Review and manage cost- and resource-loaded schedules
- Monitor milestones, schedule risks, delays, and recovery strategies
- Support Earned Value Management (EVM/EVMS) and performance reporting
- Establish scheduling standards, coding structures, and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to project schedulers
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, designers, and program leadership
- Communicate schedule issues, impacts, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of recent capital construction scheduling experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
- Strong proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience with cost- and resource-loaded schedules
- Strong knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost engineering, schedule analysis, and schedule forensics
- Experience performing Time Impact Analysis
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM/EVMS)
- Experience leading or providing technical oversight to other schedulers
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Experience supporting public-sector, higher education, infrastructure, or other large multi-project capital programs
