What Makes This Role Great
As Operations Manager, you will hold a pivotal leadership seat directly influencing the production of modernized GPS receivers essential to global security. You will shape operational strategy across TMAS, driving Lean and Six Sigma transformations while overseeing an end-to-end operational framework—spanning planning, procurement, production, order administration, warehousing, revenue execution, and service. You will be supported by a highly experienced, dedicated team ready to help execute your vision and scale our supply chain for U.S. and international defense partners.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
- Drive Operational Execution: Lead production, warehousing, and facilities management to achieve growth targets.
- Cultivate a Business-Owner Mindset: Champion profitability and long-term sustainable growth, aligning daily operational execution directly with key revenue and financial objectives.
- Spearhead Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to maximize manufacturing efficiency, quality, and throughput capacity.
- Build a Compliant Supply Chain: Secure a resilient supply network by managing strategic vendor partnerships and complex logistics in accordance with ITAR and export regulations.
- Establish Pragmatic Quality Standards: Champion a culture of excellence using AS9100 and ISO 9001 as foundational guidelines—ensuring regulatory compliance while keeping business efficiency front and center.
- Develop High-Performing Teams: Mentor and empower a cross-functional operations team within a safe, inclusive, and entrepreneurial workplace culture.
Essential Skills & Experience
- 8+ Years of Progressive Leadership: Proven track record managing operations budgets, revenue targets, purchasing, supply chain, inventory, shipping, and warehousing in a tech hardware manufacturing environment.
- Quality Management Standards: Hands-on experience managing and navigating AS9100 or ISO 9001 certified environments.
- Team Building & Talent Development: Demonstrated leadership capabilities in hiring, training, and inspiring cross-functional operational teams.
- Security Requirements: Active U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Bonus Points For
- Master’s degree or MBA in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
- Professional certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or Lean Manufacturing.
- Direct experience in defense, aerospace, or similarly highly regulated technology sectors.
- Practical working knowledge of federal contracting standards and export compliance, including ITAR, DFARS, and DCMA regulations.
