Job Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in managing costs and income within the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) sector. on large complex commercial projects within the UK. The role involves minimising project costs, enhancing value for money, and maintaining high standards and quality.
Key Qualifications
Educational Background: BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent knowledge.
Professional Memberships: Ideally Chartered Member of RICS, ICES, or CIOB.
Professional Cards: CSCS Card (Professionally Qualified Person).
Experience: Proven track record in Large Commercial build projects ideally focusing on MEP but not essential.
Governance & Digital Optimisation: Adhere to company governance and leverage LEAN/digital opportunities.
Documentation & Analysis: Prepare and review Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules, and tender documents.
Negotiation: Estimate and negotiate with third parties.
Contract Management: Review and assist with complex contract programmes, including Time-Location and delay/disruption programmes.
Subcontract Management: Monitor, measure, and respond to subcontract activities.
Reporting: Prepare internal reports, commercial progress, financial reconciliation, and report to senior project staff.
Customer & Stakeholder Management: Understand customer contracts and manage relationships.
Financial Analysis: Analyse rates, prices, and variations; negotiate claims as needed.
Constructability Analyses: Utilise construction programmes for constructability analyses.
Procurement: Develop procurement strategies and programmes.
Team Development: Recruit, supervise, and develop team members.
