YOU
The Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, analyzing, and reconciling transactions and GL balances. The accountant is responsible for creating and delivering financial information as requested and on a periodic basis.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Perform various monthly closing activities including, but not limited to: (60%)
- Bank account reconciliations for the US and Branch Imprest Accounts
- Journal Voucher Preparation
- Accrual Calculation
- Trial Balance Reconciliation and Analysis
- Reconcile accounts and check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete
- Check and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making decisions. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, and other analytics
- Ad hoc monthly reporting analysis
- Assist the Home Office Controller, North America Controller and Company controller with various projects
Identify, research, and report Unclaimed Property for the US (15%)
Assist in annual operating budget process (15%)
Fulfill internal and external audit requests (10%)
Desired Skills And Experience
If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:
- BS in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 2 years of Accounting Experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Analysis/Reasoning: Ability to collect, analyze, consolidate and interpret accounting data. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, discounts, interest, commissions, ratios, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Problem Solving: Ability to focus on attention to detail and ensure accuracy of information. Ability to identify options for solving a problem and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses.
- Computer / Software Skills: Ability to work in a Microsoft software environment. Excellent Microsoft Excel experience to include vLookups, Pivot Tables, IF statements, etc. SAP or other major ERP knowledge strongly desired
- Accountability & Dependability: Ability to meet productivity standards, deadlines and work schedules. Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and respect the privacy of others. Ability to fulfill all commitments made to peers, co-workers, and supervisor. Ability to hold self and others accountable for measurable, high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Self-Management/Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities upon direction. Ability to set well-defined and realistic personal goals. Ability to set priorities, goals and timetables to achieve maximum productivity. Ability to be self-directed to solve business issues.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Strong interpersonal skills. Possesses people development and delegation skills. Ability to provide timely guidance and feedback to help staff accomplish a task or solve a problem and help others be more successful.

This position requires domestic and international travel up to 5% of the time.

Pay
$67,700 - $108,300 / year
