Position Summary
The Funding Assistant – Closing Package Intake role will assist the closing team in receiving, reviewing, and filing closing packages and performing additional clerical duties as determined by closing leadership.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Receive original signed closing packages
Log the packages utilizing tracking software
Review document packages
Pull original signed collateral Note
Prepare collateral Note via Ancora system processing
Deliver collateral Note to Collateral Dept.
Filing document packages
Monitor shared email boxes for requests from Operations
Assign files to Funders
Box aged funded files
Log receipt of income mail and checks
Follow up for outstanding closing packages and final settlement statement via email or phone call depending on urgency
Prioritize work queues effectively while always focusing on meeting and exceeding service levels
Contributes to and encourages others to demonstrate a team focused, value based, service culture throughout the organization
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Previous experience in the Mortgage industry
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Knowledge and experience with Encompass LOS
Effective in developing internal and external relationships
Knowledge of direct lending funding process
Strong proficiency in using computer software and data entry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Able to make sound decisions using a mixture of analysis, common sense, experience, and judgement
Ability to work in a fast paced, high intensity environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be organized, dependable and punctual
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Required in-office during scheduled business hours
Physical and Work Conditions
Standard office environment, equipment, and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employees must be open to working overtime to complete assigned tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
