Looking for driven individuals to perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audiovisual and automation systems for commercial clients. We are not an AV event company. We are looking for professionals who have experience with AV commercial and permanent installations. The installation work will include pre-wire, trim out, and final installation. We also test structured wiring, audio/video, control/automation, telephone, and wired/wireless networks. Applicants should be motivated self-starters with the ability to follow, adaptive, flexible, resourceful, and be able to take initiative when it is needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read drawings and architectural plans.
- Wire pulling in new and existing construction.
- Installation of structured cabling to include pulling, terminating and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables.
- Fabricate AV racks.
- Installation of all AV equipment and displays to include: audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, control systems, and all presentation systems.
– Mounting of flat panel displays as well as projectors and motorized screens.
- Designing and building AV racks.
- Installing, testing, and commissioning custom AV control systems.
- Diagnosing/troubleshooting/resolving service issues related to integrated AV Systems.
- Work with deadlines.
- Work as a team and independently. Lead the project and manage other AV technicians.
REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for this position you must be professional, personable, responsible, reliable, and be able to work well with clients and in a team-oriented environment.
– Must have 3 years of direct experience with AV systems and equipment.
– CTS certification preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work with minimal/no assistance.
- Able to read and understand architecture, electrical, structural & AV systems drawings a must.
- Must have experience with the termination of RCA, RJ45, DB9, and HD15.
- Rack fabrication and wire management a must.
- Structured Cabling Experience a must.
- Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control.
- Ability to test equipment and perform troubleshooting.
- Have knowledge and experience of troubleshooting Crestron, Extron and AMX control systems.
- Good Experience with uploading Crestron and AMX programs.
- Possess Biamp DSP Configuration and support experience.
– Must be able to train customers on the use of systems that are installed.
– Able to perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner.
– Must be able to safely lift up to 75 pounds.
- Be able to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
– Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to job sites (location include DC, VA, and MD).
- Must be able to read and write at basic English proficiency.
-Must be able to pre-wire within established guidelines, follow quality control standards and written specifications.
– Proficient use of trade tools and ability to follow safety standards while working on construction sites.

-up to $70,000.00
