We are seeking experienced Debt Collector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. Duties
- Contact clients via phone and email to collect outstanding debts while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Review account information and perform account analysis to determine the best approach for collection.
- Utilize financial software to track payments and manage accounts payable effectively.
- Assist in medical billing processes, ensuring accurate coding and adherence to medical terminology.
- Maintain detailed records of communications with clients and update account statuses accordingly.
- Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for revenue cycle management and improve collection rates.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette during all interactions, fostering positive relationships with clients while pursuing collections.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in debt collection and medical collections.
Qualifications
- 1 year experience in debt collection is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and terminology is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools used for account management.
- Excellent math skills for accurate calculations related to accounts receivable.
- Ability to analyze accounts effectively and identify potential issues or discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
