Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with a focus on electrical systems. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate project pricing and cost control, contributing to the successful execution of construction projects. The Senior Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality estimates that align with project goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with project management teams to establish budgets and timelines.
- Utilize Bluebeam software for takeoffs and estimating processes(other take off software is acceptable).
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information for accurate pricing.
- Implement cost control measures throughout the estimating process to ensure competitiveness.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present them to clients or stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, building codes (including NEC), and best practices in construction management.
Skills
- Proficient in construction estimating with a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards is preferred.
- Experience working on construction sites to gain practical insights into project execution.
- Proficient in Bluebeam software for digital takeoffs and collaboration.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
