Your Role as a Data Center Technician:

Upon joining Smoothstack as a W-2 employee, you will embark on 8-10 weeks of remote paid training. During this period, you'll receive a biweekly stipend (plus benefits). Once training is complete and you are deployed to our client, you will have the opportunity to earn $60,000+ annually.

As a Data Center Technician, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Supporting Customer Demands: From racking and stacking equipment to managing cabling and cross-connects, you'll play a crucial role in fulfilling all customer needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with our Deployment and Implementation teams, the Global Command Center, Provisioning team, and Project Management to ensure installations are completed on time and enhance customer satisfaction.

Successful Applicants Must:

Pass a mechanical aptitude test
Be legally authorized to work in the U.S., without employer sponsorship
Be willing to relocate to Leesburg, Virgina, Pheonix, Arizona, or Dallas Tx.

Qualifications:

Pre-existing mechanical skills and a passion for learning
The ability to pick up different technical skills
Problem solving & critical thinking skills
Effective communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to work flexible shift schedules
Excitement, eagerness, and ability to learn quickly

Physical Requirements

Lift and handle up to 50 pounds
Bend, stoop, and stretch as required for placement and retrieval of network devices, materials, or equipment
Work under a raised data center floor
Climb ladders (up to 16 feet) to reach plenum spaces
