The Construction Project Coordinator will play a critical support role in the planning, organization, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, be highly adaptable, and thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Reporting directly to the Manager – Project Controls, and supporting a team of project managers and design professionals, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring administrative activities, while maintaining effective communication with the team members, partners, and outside vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative support
- Assist the team in managing the flow of information between outside vendors and team members, including contractor invoices, lien releases, and contract support documentation.
- Assist the team with the coordination of deliveries or receipt of goods.
- Input data into project management software, including processing invoices and contracts.
- Help coordinate and setup meetings
- Project Administrative Support
- Facilitate / Coordinate the receipt and organization of project close-out documents
- Aggregate Project Plan information with direction from the Project Manager
Safety
- Identify potential project risks and work with the Project Manager to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.
- Communication and Partner Engagement
- Facilitate effective communication among team members and partners.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications And Requirements
- Education: 2-years of college education
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry, with a track record of successful project delivery
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling and reporting (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Excel).
The hiring range for this position in California is $71,000.00-$95,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
