Duties
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, unloading materials, and setting up equipment
- Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Load, unload, and organize materials and tools to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery under supervision, ensuring proper handling and maintenance
- Assist in setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety signage around the site
- Perform general cleanup duties to keep the worksite tidy and hazard-free
- Support the installation of structures by holding materials in place or assisting with measurements as directed
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and project needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience with painting, floor, tile, cabinet, or window installation, stucco, woodwork, electrical, or plumbing.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices; willingness to adhere strictly to safety guidelines
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus but training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Valid driver’s license is necessary and you may transport tools or materials when necessary
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
