Position Summary:
Assist the Project Manager and/or Project Engineer with Contract submittals, including preparation., confirm contractor's maintenance of record drawings, Coordinate with surveying, testing and inspection staff as necessary. Maintain change management log and under the direction of the Project and Construction Managers be responsible for field coordination. Maintain cost and quantity records and seek and coordinate progress payment requests
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of material and shop drawings for approval
- Calculation of material quantity take-offs
- Submission of requests for quotations to vendors and subcontractors
- Assist in submittal procedures
- Maintain and distribute current contract plans and specifications
- Confirm contractors maintenance of record drawings
- Provide technical and engineering support to Project Engineer.
- Perform tasks related to the collection of cost data required to monitor project budgets and estimates. Learn to apply the principles and techniques of resource monitoring to specific tasks related to a portion of a project through on-the-job training.
- Under the direction of the Project Engineer, be responsible for field coordination with Contractor responding in field issues
- Assist in the analysis and recommendation of field issues with the Project Engineer
- Coordinate with surveying, testing and inspection staff
- Perform other duties as directed by Project Engineer
Preferred Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Engineering, Detail Oriented, Strong Verbal and Written Communication, Quality Focused, PC Proficiency, Ability to handle multiple tasks
Package
- Basic Salary: $73K-$78K
