Helix Electric is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support our Los Angeles team. This role is ideal for someone with electrical construction experience who understands the pace, coordination, and detail required to help deliver complex projects successfully. We are looking for someone who can step in, support project leadership, and contribute from day one in an electrical contracting environment.
What You'll Do
- Support project managers with day-to-day coordination of electrical construction projects
- Track schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, and material status for electrical scopes
- Help manage project documentation and maintain accurate records throughout the construction lifecycle
- Coordinate with field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to keep electrical work progressing on schedule
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting tied to electrical project execution
- Help ensure projects stay aligned with contract requirements, company standards, and field needs
What We're Looking For
- Experience in electrical construction, ideally in project coordination, project engineering, or assistant project management
- Understanding of construction documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material tracking within an electrical contracting environment
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project setting
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related systems
- Candidates with direct experience supporting electrical contractors or electrical construction projects are strongly preferred

- The starting hourly base pay for this role is between USD $85,000.00 and $95,000.00 per year. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
