Job Overview:
As a Commercial Ground Up Project Manager, you will lead and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and design professionals to deliver high-quality facilities that meet our clients’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of commercial ground-up construction projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and quality to meet contractual obligations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with design professionals, subcontractors, and government agencies to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Negotiate contracts, manage subcontractor performance, and ensure efficient coordination among project stakeholders.
- Provide clear and regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of project progress and any potential challenges.
- Lead project meetings, review project status reports, and ensure all project documentation is maintained.
- Manage change orders, identify risk factors, and mitigate potential project risks.
- Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, on schedule, and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in managing ground-up commercial construction projects, preferably in public works.
- Proven experience leading large-scale commercial projects from conception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and other relevant laws.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
