Position Summary
The Funding Assistant will acquire and assign funding packages to various funders with acute attention to deadlines and turn times.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
· Receipt in original signed closing packages
. Pull original signed collateral Note
. Prepare collateral Note via Ancora system processing
. Deliver collateral Note to Collateral Dept.
· Monitor Funding Inbox requests from Operations
· Wire desk
. Review Funding Worksheet, CPL & E&O to process wire
. Send out wires using multiple warehouse banks
. Supply Funders with the Fed Reference numbers-if needed contact bank to obtain in a timely manner
· PCCD Queue-work on newer loans within 5 business days
. Monitor Final CD emails
. Process PCCDs
· Assigns new files/docs back to Funders
· Boxing aged, funded files and files away in vault
· Log in checks rec’d and make corrections to PCCDs (Principal Reductions etc.)
· Follow up on any Final Settlement Statement requested the prior day (via email or phone call depending on urgency)
· Prioritize work queues effectively while always focusing on meeting and exceeding service levels
· Contributes to and encourages others to demonstrate a team focused, value based, service culture throughout the organization
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
· High school or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 1 year’s funding experience in lending
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Able to make good decisions using a mixture of analysis, common sense, experience, and judgement
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Must be organized, dependable and punctual
· Must be supportive in a team environment
· Strong computer skills: specifically, Encompass (preferred)
· Effective in developing internal and external relationships
· Knowledge of direct lending funding processes
· Ability to work in a fast paced, high intensity environment
Physical and Work Conditions
Standard office environment, equipment, and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and walking throughout the day. Employees must be open to working overtime to complete assigned tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
