Job Title: Virtual Design and Construction Coordinator (Commercial Construction)
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Woodland Hills, CA. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the development, refinement, and execution of Building Information Models (BIM) alongside various Virtual Design & Construction technologies. The VDC Coordinator will support critical virtual construction initiatives across Preconstruction, Construction Operations, and Consulting/Litigation Support Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate 3D object-oriented models.
- Create 5D visual simulations that integrate BIM, TIME, and COST utilizing software such as Navisworks or Synchro.
- Conduct clash detections to ensure project accuracy.
- Execute 3D scanning operations using Trimble 3D scanner and implement layout work with Trimble Robotic Total Station.
- Process job cost and model-based quantity reports for project control and risk analysis.
- Generate formwork and concrete lift drawings for both horizontal and vertical controls.
- Assist Preconstruction and Business Development efforts by producing photorealistic imagery with rendering engines like Artlantis.
- Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and PCOs.
- Process raw 3D point cloud scan files using advanced software suites for precise modeling.
- Produce as-built models based on scan files through software such as Trimble REALWORKS or TEKLA Structures.
- Convert and refine building model files or 3D scanned point clouds for rapid prototype 3D printing.
- Perform completeness and constructibility reviews under supervision, managing RFIs as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and simulation software.
- Familiarity with BIM concepts and various BIM systems, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and TEKLA.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam.
- Effective personal management and organizational skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, especially in collaborative environments.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a construction-related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in the building or design industry is preferred.
- A foundational understanding of VDC or BIM concepts is essential.

Compensation And Benefits
- Salary range: \(60,000.00 - \)110,000.00 per year.
