Job Title: Virtual Design and Construction Coordinator (Commercial Construction)
Job Overview: The Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Coordinator plays an integral role in the evolution and execution of Building Information Models (BIM) and other Virtual Design & Construction technologies. This position encompasses addressing virtual construction requirements across diverse departments, including Preconstruction, Construction Operations, and Consulting/Litigation Support Services. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate 3D object-oriented models.
- Create 5D visual simulations that integrate BIM+TIME+COST utilizing tools such as Navisworks or Synchro.
- Conduct clash detection analyses.
- Implement 3D scanning using Trimble 3D scanner and manage layout tasks via Trimble Robotic Total Station.
- Process job costs, model-based quantity reports, and scheduling details back into the model for precise project control and historical documentation.
- Produce formwork and concrete lift drawings for both horizontal and vertical control as well as general assembly drawings.
- Aid Preconstruction and Business Development efforts through the creation of photorealistic imagery using Artlantis and other rendering technologies.
- Oversee project document management including RFIs, submittals, PCOs, and NOCs.
- Process raw 3D point cloud scan files using software such as Trimble REALWORKS, Scene, Rythm, or equivalent to produce registered files.
- Generate as-built models from scan files with tools like Trimble REALWORKS or TEKLA Structures.
- Convert and adjust building model files or 3D scanned point clouds for rapid prototyping 3D-printable objects using Materialise Magics and SpaceClaim.
- Conduct completeness and constructibility reviews under supervision, as well as manage and issue RFIs.
Required Skills
- Proficient in 3D object-oriented modeling.
- Experience with producing visual simulations (BIM+TIME+COST).
- Familiarity with clash detection and 3D scanning techniques.
- Strong grasp of VDC or BIM concepts.
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and BlueBeam.
- Creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong organizational and personal management skills.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a construction-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years in the building or design sector preferred, though not mandatory.
- Understanding of VDC or BIM systems is crucial.
- Initial experience with Building Information Model (BIM) systems such as Autodesk Revit, Bentley, Vico Constructor, TEKLA, Synchro, Navisworks, Sketchup, and similar software is essential.

Compensation And Benefits
- Salary range: \(60,000.00 - \)110,000.00 per year.
