Job Title: Playground Installer
Zoom Recreation designs and builds commercial parks around California. We design and build commercial playgrounds, shade structures, fitness equipment as well as install safety surfacing such as pour-in-place rubber and artificial turf.
We work on a lot of prevailing wage projects as we work with cities, school districts and other publicly funded organizations.

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Playground Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building play structures and shade systems. This role requires physical strength, technical construction ability, and attention to detail to ensure safe and high-quality installations.
Pay Range: $30 - $70/hour
*we do a lot of prevailing wage projects which pay upwards of $70/hour to each installer. Half of our projects are prevailing wage roughly.
Responsibilities:
- Install playground structures, shade structures, surfacing and other site amenities.
- Operate power tools and equipment for assembly and installation.
- Load, transport, and unload materials at job sites.
- Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to complete projects on time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation challenges on-site.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in playground or shade structure installation.
- Valid CDL and clean driving record (mandatory).
- Driver’s license (mandatory).
- Based in Southern California.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with power tools and construction techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., skid steers, forklifts, augers).
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques.
