YOU
As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate with the Senior CI Lean Leader to implement process improvements in core operations and service processes, partnering with leaders of each department, including plant and office process owners. You'll streamline manufacturing processes, eliminate waste, increase efficiency, and reduce defects throughout the manufacturing plant, warehouse/shipping departments and other support departments. You'll work with Lean Coordinators to pinpoint manufacturing bottlenecks, analyze data, implement corrective actions, evaluate process changes, compile results, and present solutions, recommending permanent process improvements. Additionally, you'll facilitate Kaizen events while supporting quality, safety, and all other support departments with improvement opportunities.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop target areas for enhancing products and processes. Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training. Implement the lean management system at the Branch, working with cross-functional teams to identify improvement projects, and facilitate Kaizen events and standardization throughout the plant using various improvement tools such as VSM, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kanban, TPM, 6S, and Process Audits. (60%)
Work to improve manufacturing and warehouse processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency. Research, design and develop processes and systems to improve products, warehouse and manufacturing methods around safety, quality, delivery, and cost. (40%)
Desired Skills And Experience

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Bachelor’s in manufacturing related engineering degrees Preferred.
- 5 years of manufacturing experience Required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication: Clearly exchanges thoughts, ideas and messages through written, verbal and non-verbal methods that promote an understanding with the target audience. Listens carefully and attentively.
- Problem Solving: Can solve complex problems using various tools and gets to root cause.
- Computer Skills Ability to work with computer software to communicate team results and training concepts. Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, SAP. Proficient Excel Skills.
- Project Skills: Project management, scheduling and risk management, presentation skills, MS Office.
- Attention to Detail: Is attentive to detail and accuracy, performs quality work, continuously looks for improvements, owns/acts on problems, seeks opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

PAY
$68,500 - $109,600/ year
