The Director of Compliance and Risk Management reports directly to the General Counsel. The Director of Compliance and Risk Management will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive compliance program for Lennar Title Group, LLC, and its subsidiaries. This role will support the CCO and bring industry leading knowledge and experience to the company. The position is responsible for managing, reviewing, and performing compliance reviews on the company’s escrow/title agency operations and division support departments, maintaining corporate records on individual and agency licenses, assisting the regional presidents moving into new markets involving compliance issues such as licensing, business registration, underwriting issues, office requirements, and other projects as needed. Additional duties include, but not be limited to, participating in special reviews and projects, including review and documentation of company processing procedures and control environment, communicating with management, regulators and underwriters on compliance issues, assist the Legal Department to oversee the Risk Oversight Committee, and serve as a liaison between company departments.

Your Responsibilities On The Team
Design and monitor control systems to address concerns and/or weaknesses of internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. This may also include review of current, or development of new policies and procedures using a risk-based perspective to assist the business in making good strategic decisions.
Managing, reviewing, and participating in compliance examinations of escrow/title agency branches and support departments ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and state regulations. Areas to be reviewed include but not limited to underwriting and closing procedures, escrow and non-escrow accounting procedures, title policy processing, general office administrative and internal accounting controls, and computer resources.
Monitor and maintain corporate records, including maintaining all entity documents for Lennar Title Group, LLC, the renewals of all state and local agency licenses, and the renewals for individual licenses (title production and escrow licenses).
Preparing formal written reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of the current system of internal control and the efficiency with which activities in the branch or support departments are carried out.
Managing the remediation process for any corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions.
Analyzing Lennar Title’s internal control environment, identifying risks, developing appropriate testing procedures and make recommendations of procedural enhancements to the control environment and mitigate risk.
Prepare and implement policies and procedures, as needed, for the Company to maintain its compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, state licensing requirements.
Stay abreast of evolving regulatory changes and developments in the real estate industry to ensure the company's compliance practices remain up-to-date.
Serve as a point of contact for underwriters, regulatory agencies, and external auditors regarding compliance matters. Establish a robust compliance monitoring and testing program to proactively identify and address compliance risks.
Work with the General Counsel, corporate departments, and/or operations management in the completion of special reviews and projects, as needed. Projects could encompass working on procedural or conversion task force for new systems, identification and resolution of branch reporting or reconciliation, acquisition integration assistance or other projects designated by senior management.
Coordinating information gathering for state regulatory examinations and audits for Lennar Title.
Prepare and implement yearly training for Associates as needed for corporate compliance and ALTA Best Practices compliance.
Preparing the annual compliance plan for the Lennar Title Group, LLC entities and manage the Risk Oversight Committee meetings. Provide analysis and recommendations to the ROC group and implement changes/updates to policies and procedures as needed.
Providing ongoing supervision, training and evaluation of the Quality Assurance and Compliance (QAC) staff in their performance activities.
Performing other duties or special projects as directed by the General Counsel or the Executive Team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Escrow, Accounting, Finance or other related experience.
A valid state driver’s license.
Ability to professionally perform multiple, detailed‑oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
Proficiency with Windows 95/98/00/NT/XP operating system, word processing (MS Word), escrow/closing software and/or higher applications required. Knowledge in other Microsoft applications or integrated packages is a plus.
Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and regulator reporting requirements for settlement companies
Knowledge of general ledger/financial applications is preferred but not required. Knowledge of JD Edwards system is a plus.
Possess strong work ethic, integrity and loyalty.
Team player with the ability to work well under pressure.
Minimum Employment Experience:
Five years minimum experience in a corporate environment with centralized and decentralized functional processes.
A good working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and three to five years prior industry knowledge with respect to escrow and title operations.
Ten years of full time work experience.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:
Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours is an essential function of this job. Requires the ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer, the ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds. Job may require occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:
We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $178,112.00 - $223,429, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
