Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. This position requires proficiency in operating various types of equipment and a strong commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency within the warehouse environment.
Duties
- Efficiently pick orders from designated locations within the warehouse using an order picker or forklift.
- Operate heavy equipment such as clamp trucks and cranes safely and effectively.
- Build and prepare pallets for shipping, ensuring proper stacking and load distribution.
- Conduct shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items as they are picked or received.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, following all health and safety regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred, particularly in order picking or shipping/receiving roles.
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
