Hazard Construction is seeking a project engineer with 1-3 years of experience in heavy highway construction. Candidate will contribute to a variety of projects including but not limited to site development, military, and DOT(Caltrans). We work on a variety of grading and asphalt paving projects and seek a motivated individual to assist our superintendents in the successful execution of these projects. Responsibilities:
Assist superintendents in progress billing, track submittals, RFIs, and contract change orders.
Job cost tracking/updates.
Develop/maintain CPM schedules.
Coordinate with subcontractors on a variety of projects.
Track quantities.
Traffic control plans.
Earthwork Take-offs.
Understand contract documents (plans, specifications, contracts, etc.)
Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Requirements:
Hard-working individual who has demonstrated leadership skills and who thrives in a teamwork environment.
The individual must be highly organized and able to communicate well with others.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
Excellent writing, presentation and computer skills.
Willingness to be flexible and occasionally work long hours.
